best chance program
The Best Chance Program was created through a partnership between Mirror Image K9 and the Ozzie Albies Foundation to revolutionize the rescue system and address a critical gap in the process. Overcrowded animal shelters and the frequent re-homing or return of adopted dogs highlight a persistent issue—while many people are eager to rescue, the support provided after a dog is fostered or adopted is often lacking.
That’s where the Best Chance Program steps in. Our work doesn’t stop when a dog leaves our rescue—it begins there. We provide personalized training for every dog and hands-on guidance for foster parents, ensuring each pup gets the tailored support they need. During their time in foster care, dogs in our program learn essential skills to help them transition smoothly into their forever homes, increasing their chances of finding the perfect match.
Our ultimate goal is to expand our rescue efforts, pull as many dogs as possible out of shelters, and give each one the best possible chance at a happy, stable life. Together, we can make a lasting difference for these dogs in need.
